A TEAM of staff volunteers from Adactus Housing Association joined forces with Broadheath's ‘Friends of Woodstock Park’ group to transform the park entrance.
The Adactus taskforce, pictured, helped clear overgrown flower beds, replant with summer annuals and litter-pick the park of rubbish, on Give and Gain Day on May 16.
This is a national day of employee volunteering where each year business volunteers leave their offices for one day and volunteer in their community.
Anne Corrigan, from Adactus, said: “This was a great opportunity for Adactus staff to come out of the office and get involved in this exciting event and make a real difference to the community.”
Brenda Houraghan. from the friends group, said: “Thanks Adactus for all your hard work, you worked wonders in a day and we look forward to seeing the areas a blaze of colour in the summer months.”
