As part of its annual celebrations, Sale Festival 2014 is running a photographic competition for keen amateur photographers.
This year the theme is ‘old and new’, which organisers will offer ‘endless sccope’ for would-be entrants.
The photographic society has asserted that entries can include anything perceived to be old or new, or a combination of the two.
It could be a person, an animal, a new or old building, old or new trains or cars, or anything else that depicts the theme.
Copies of the competition rules are available from salefestival.org.uk and salephoto.org.uk.
Four prints per author can be entered and last handing in date is June 3, at Sale Waterside.
Pictured are images which depict the type of picture entrants may choose to take, however, these images are by no means represent the whole scope of the theme.
