FORMER snooker world champion Shaun Murphy entertained members and guests at an exhibition night at his practice base the Urmston Conservative Club.
On Friday night.The likeable Shaun, currently number five in the world rankings, entertained the crowd with trick shots and also played local top amateurs in one frame matches.
A special mention should go to club member James Frith, who was the only competitor to win his frame against the player they call ‘The Magician.’ The night was a great success and so was the hot pot supper. Shaun expressed a wish to repeat the night again as a thank you to the club and its members.
The evening was planned and organised by the club steward Terry Slater and anyone interested in becoming a member of Urmston Conservative Club should call 0161 748 2108.
