A FORMER Timperley off-licence is to become a takeaway, following a rubber stamp by planning chiefs.
The vacant unit on Riddings Road, which was formerly Booze Zone Plus, will now become a restaurant and takeaway, which will be open between 11am and 11pm Monday to Friday and 11am and 12am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Seven letters of objection were submitted to Trafford Council’s planning committee on the grounds of noise, increased traffic, parking problems and litter.
Residents also argued that as there are already two ‘excellent’ takeaways on Riddings Road, another would be ‘overkill’.
However, Trafford’s planning committee voted unanimously in favour of the application.
