FOR Gary Woodhall, director of Altrincham Little Theatre’s latest production, Bedfull of Foreigners is is very much a case of gamekeeper turned poacher.

As an actor, he is an expert when it comes to playing farce. However, for the first time he is the Director of the play, and is beginning to realise just what is involved when you are in charge of everything. Nevertheless he is thoroughly enjoying the experience.

This production, the last of the current season, should act as a warning to anyone going abroad this summer: be careful when booking your hotel room – you never know who you may finish up sharing it with!

When Stanley and Brenda, on a motoring trip abroad, obtain a room for the night in a French village, they consider themselves lucky – but not for long.

In less than an hour, Stanley finds himself, in Brenda’s absence, enticing a stark naked French woman into his room. His naughtiness sparks a chain of almost unbelievable events, in the best traditions of farce.
