Timperley celebrates 100th Birthday with message from the Queen
TIMPERLEY resident Gordon Roberts celebrated his 100th birthday with a message and card from the Queen.
The Mayor of Trafford Cllr Dylan Butt and Mayoress Farah Butt, pictured, joined him in celebration at his home, where he still lives independently but with care by his daughter.
Gordon gave service in the Middle East and North Africa with the Royal Signals during the Second World War and later worked for the civil service until his retirement in 1977.
