A CAKE and Crafts Fair at Kings Road Primary School in aid of thw Help Haris Walk Campaign raised £2,260 - in three hours.
The event was organised by the parents and family of Haris Nadeem to fund an operation called a selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR}.
The youngster has cerebral palsy and they believe the procedure, which isn’t routinely funded by health chiefs in this country, will help his walking and balance.
The family needs to raise £25,000 for Haris to have the SDR and the current total stands at £17,961. The Fair was held on April 25 at the school where Haris, 8, is a pupil.
