A CHARITY is calling on daredevils to take ona zipslide challenge at Salford Quays later this year, to help in the fight against muscle-wasting conditions.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is looking for participants to zip 250 metres across the Manchester Ship Canal, from the Imperial War Museum North to the Lowry Centre, on October 4.
Funds raised through the challenge will back the charity’s vital work funding research into treatments for muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions and supporting families affected by them.
Participants are being asked to raise at least £200 in sponsorship, with each receiving fundraising support and a charity branded t-shirt to wear on the day.
Further information and entry forms are available by e-mail from northwest@muscular-dystrophy.org or by calling 01244 536551.
