SALE based Starlight Dance School were crowned champions at the DSE Dance Challenge in Manchester.
The performers won first place in the junior modern category with the entry Survivor and third place in the junior classical category with Proud.
Survivor was then selected as the overall competition winner by the judges as the entry with the highest technical score.
The DSE Dance Challenge took place at The Dancehouse Theatre, Manchester, and attracted entries from all over the north west. Starlight’s success was even more impressive as it was the first competition that the dance school has entered since the school was formed in 2012.
School owner Rebecca Barwick said: “It was a fantastic result and is testimony to the hard work and effort put in by all the girls.”
