YOUNGSTERS competed to complete the Altrincham Easter Egg trail organised by Altrincham Forward.

Joseph Lee, aged nine, and his sister, Yasmin, won the grand prize of a family ticket to Altrincham’s Silver Blades Ice Rink.

Both Joseph and Yasmin were two of the many youngsters to complete the trail by visiting 24 retailers around the town and picking up special treats from them along the way.

After submitting their completed form to Altrincham Forward, Joseph was chosen at random from the large number of forms returned.

Joseph’s Mum, Ann Lam, said: “There’s a lot more going on in Altrincham than we thought. We discovered independent businesses that we didn’t know were there.”

In addition to this, on the Saturday parents also had the chance to get involved in the excitement with the ‘Giant Easter Egg Hunt’. Clues were posted on Altrincham Forward’s Twitter account (@altrinchamFWD) which finally led the winners to a giant egg which had been planted at Altrincham Market in The Cheese Emporium.

Tom Simon and his mum Jill Sayles from Altrincham were the lucky winners and bagged themselves tickets for Vue Cinema and a family meal at Frankie & Benny’s.
