FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Broadheath farm after a horse fell in a field.
A crew from Altrincham Fire Station and a Water Incident Unit (WIU) from Eccles were called to Dairyhouse Farm, on Dairyhouse Lane, at around 1.45pm on April 26.
Firefighters used specialist ropes and equipment from the WIU to lift the horse, which was called Midnight, and then assisted a vet and the horse’s owner to get it into a stable position.
