JOHN Lewis and the Children’s Air Ambulance have teamed up to give youngsters the chance to have their artwork displayed in store.

The charity will have a stand outside the Trafford Centre store on April 12, where children will be able to hand in their entries, which if successful will be displayed in store for three weeks.

Those wishing to enter should cut out the helicopter (pictured) and simply colour it in.

The Children's Air Ambulance is the first and only dedicated helicopter emergency transfer service for seriously ill children and babies.

Each year approximately 5,800 children need transferring between hospitals.

Currently the majority of these transfers are performed by land, meaning sometimes long and arduous journeys for seriously ill youngsters.

Judging takes place between 10am and 4pm on April 12, with winners and runners up being notified that evening.
