B&M Bargains is to open a new store in Broadheath Retail Park, creating 68 new jobs.
Officially opening on April 18, the new 20,000 sq ft store, on George Richards Way, will be located within the former Toys R Us unit.
The variety retailer, which is one of the fastest growing in the UK, has pledged to invest in people from the Trafford community.
Area manager, Larry Downey, said: “B&M is committed to recruiting from the local area and I’m pleased we’ve found a great team from in and around Altrincham.
“We’ve been selling big brands at sensational prices since 1978, and now the people of Altrincham will be able to buy some great value products from their local store.”
Store manager, Graeme Reid, said: “We’ve all worked very hard over the past few weeks to make sure the store is ready for the opening.
“We’re extremely pleased to be creating jobs for local people and look forward to joining the local community.”
Kids’ favourite Peppa Pig will be at the store on April 18 to officially open the store and welcome the new B&M Broadheath’s first shoppers.
The grand opening will also have free face painting, Haribo giveaways and special opening day offers.
