SALE High School will become a centre of excellence in financial education, thanks to a new partnership between financial education charity, PFEG, and Santander.
The announcement means the school will work with PFEG to create a new financial education curriculum.
Lynn Nicholls, Sale High School headteacher said: “Managing money is a skill that all of our students will need throughout their adult lives. We are extremely excited to be taking part in this programme.”
Teachers will receive special training in order to deliver effective personal finance lessons and learning activities.
Sale is one of 40 schools across the country which will achieve the status in the next year.
PFEG CEO, Tracey Bleakley stated: “We are thrilled that Sale High School has joined our centre of excellence partnership with Santander.”
