A SALE woman was over the drink limit the night she crashed into the back of another car on the M62.
Laura Adair, 32, claimed that the other driver had pulled out in front of her and then vanished on hearing the sound of police on their way to the scene.
But at Manchester Magistrates’ Court Adair, of Surtes Road, Sale, admitted driving with excess alcohol.
She was fined £300 and disqualified for a year – with £85 costs and £30 surcharge.
The collision had happened at midnight on a straight section of the road and there was hardly any traffic said prosecutor Subhanur Chowdhury.
Breath tested Adair was found to have 48 micrograms of alcohol in her system – the limit being 35.
