THANKS to help from the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund, disabled residents in Trafford can now get involved in ‘Get Active March’, which is providing a huge range of activity sessions throughout the whole month.

The programme of events organised by Trafford Disabilities Activity Network include tag rugby, tai chi, dance, football and cycling using specially adapted bikes.

Adactus resident Gregor Lamont, who has already attended two ‘I-Move’ sessions said:’ I really really love the bikes, the boxing bag and football where I scored seven goals.’ Lynnsey Griffin from Trafford Disability Network said: “I am bowled over by the facilities that are on offer and really excited to be part of it.”

Anne Corrigan, from Adactus Housing Association said “This has been a fantastic opportunity for Adactus to work with TDAN and help provide much needed activities for disabled residents; there’s something for everyone and a great chance to make new friends, get fit and have some fun.”

The Adactus Neighbourhood fund supports projects across the Northwest and £200,000 has been available for projects annually since 2010.
