THE generations came together thanks to an initiative by the community social enterprise Community Vivacity.
The group organised an event to entertain pensioners at Altrincham Methodist Church, which was supported by pupils from Blessed Thomas Holford and Sale Grammar.
A number of the people who were entertained and enjoyed a slap-up meal visited Sale Grammar to thank the pupils.
Teacher Elizabeth Merron lined up with Sale Grammar performing arts pupils who had entertained the Trafford residents.
Pictured are Elizabeth Phillips, Mary Smethurst, Ray Stevens and Philomena Clarke.
Mal Choudhury, the founder of Community Vivacity (far right) also called into the school.
