SALE Leisure Centre’s IMove facility hosted the start of Get Active March, the free health and wellbeing activities event for disabled people.

Cllr Michael Young officially opened the event and watched attendees make use of the sports equipment.

A range of sports were available at the session, from tag rugby to disability football.

The event came about thanks to a partnership between Trafford Centre for Independent Living (CIL), Trafford Disability Action Network (TDAN), Trafford Community Leisure Trust and a number of high profile sports clubs including Sale Sharks and Lancashire County Cricket Club.

The free sessions will take place at various locations in Trafford.
