TRAFFORD Council is holding briefing sessions for anyone planning to stand as a candidate in this year's local elections.
Council elections will be held in all 21 wards within Trafford on Thursday, 22 May 2014.
The Notice of Election will be published on April 14 and nominations for candidates will be open from April 15 to April 23 between 9am and 5pm, and between 9am until 4pm on Thursday 24 April 2014.
The statement of persons nominated in each ward will be published on the Council website and displayed at the elections office from midday on April 28.
The pre-nomination briefings for local candidates and agents will be held in the Thomas De Trafford Rooms at Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, on March 19 and April 3 at 6.30pm.
The briefing will cover key aspects of the nomination process, access to electoral registers and poll card arrangements.
