THIEVES broke into a locked car which was parked on a Timperley driveway and stole items worth up to £700 from inside.

But the devastated owner, who is a self-employed businesswoman, said while the loss of her demonstration products is a blow, they are replaceable, but her diary – which contained all her business contacts, isn’t.

The woman, who does not wish to be named, said: “It’s all still very raw. They’ve stolen my livelihood.”

The theft took place between 7.30pm and 7.38pm, on February 22, on Bloomsbury Lane.

The woman had just picked her children up and taken them inside, when a neighbour saw two youths – who were wearing dark hoodies and accompanied by a white dog, – break into the parked Audi.

When the offenders caught site of the neighbour they ran off in the direction of Timperley Village.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the car owner on 07974 524 049.
