A MONTHLY community gathering at a Sale church, which combines different faiths and groups, had an Indian themed night.

The matinee programme was held at Sale Methodist Church on Friday, as people were brought together to celebrate Indian culture and their heritage.

A musical performance was put on by the Indian community group including eight-year-old Rahul Minocha, Nidhi and Sarswati.

The community gathering brings a great awareness for people to live together in harmony. The aim is to involve communities and bring them together through playing music, singing and dancing.

The programme, organised by Cynthia Fowler, Tony Heaton and Kathleen Tinkley, depicted the Indian culture by singing the national anthems of both the nations, with Rahul playing the tablas.
