PEOPLE with disabilities in Trafford are being encouraged to get active and take part in a free sports day at Sale Leisure Centre on March 4 from 10.30am.

A range of sports will be available at the session, from tag rugby and table cricket to disability football.

The event has come about thanks to a partnership between Trafford Centre for Independent Living (CIL), Trafford Disability Action Network (TDAN), Trafford Community Leisure Trust and a number of high profile sports clubs.

Clubs involved include Sale Sharks and Lancashire County Cricket Club.

The sports sessions are free, but booking is essential. Anyone interested in doing so should call 0161 850 0645.
