TWO fundraisers for the Fed charity, Heather Baron and Heather Kandel, once again hosted their popular bridge and brunch event in aid of Project Smile.

Held on February 13, it raised £1,500 that will go towards supporting children with special needs, children in need, and their families.

Project Smile provides more than 8,000 hours’ support through one-to-one support respite care at the Fed’s purpose-built Children’s Centre in Prestwich, or in the home and weekly play groups.

Taking place at Dunham Forest Golf and Country Club, the event attracted 85 women for an afternoon of bridge and a buffet meal.

Co-organiser Heather Kandel said: “We’ve been doing this bridge event for 5 years and it’s wonderful that we can attract new people who might not know anything about Project Smile.

“The project is very close to our hearts”
