OFFICE manager for John Lewis Trafford, Jess Hodson, pictured, shared her knitting skills with Year Four pupils from Urmston Junior School, as part of the 'Bringing Skills to Life' scheme.
The scheme is a national primary school education programme launched by the John Lewis Partnership to inspire children to learn while developing their imagination and practical skills.
This has been developed by education specialists and linked in with the national curriculum which falls into three categories: design and make, cook and share and storytelling.
After registering on to the scheme, Urmston Juniors invited John Lewis Trafford to participate in a knitting workshop, as part of the design and make category.
Jess, who was taught by her grandmother, said: "Most of them had never done anything like it before or even held knitting needles, but they were enthusiastic and all tried really hard."
