YOUNG performers from a theatre arts school wowed audiences with performances of songs from ‘Oliver’.

The 26 students from Stagecoach Altrincham put on a dazzling show, performing to 1,000 people, at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool.

The talented singers and dancers joined nearly 300 students from 14 other Stagecoach Theatre Arts schools for a display of songs from the hit musical, including ‘Food Glorious Food’ and ‘Consider Yourself’.

Lara Byrne, who performed on the night, said: “Being up on stage at The Grand Theatre was one of the best experiences of my life! I was really proud to be part of the performance and it was a real thrill performing in front of such a large crowd.”

Marion Hankin, principal of Stagecoach Altrincham, said: “The hard work the students put in to rehearsals really did pay off. They certainly impressed on the night and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
