A GROUP of Manchester schoolchildren visited Dunham Massey recently to see the snowdrops in the Winter Garden.
They were taking part in a two day snowdrop workshop with National Trust urban gardener, Sean Harkin.
It’s the first part of a National Trust project leading to the planting of 100,000 snowdrops in Manchester City Centre in September to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Sean said: “The children were amazing! Everything, from seeing the snowdrops at Dunham, to making the lanterns, to planting the bulbs, we had such fun.”
Anyone who would like to help Sean plant 100,000 snowdrops in Manchester city centre should email nturbangardener@nationaltrust.org.uk.
