ANY Questions, BBC Radio 4’s topical discussion programme, has been broadcast live from Altrincham Grammar School for Girls.
Presented by Jonathan Dimbleby, the discussion panel was made up of Defence Minister Anna Soubry, journalist and poverty campaigner Jack Monroe, the Liberal Democrat MP Jeremy Browne and the former Foreign Secretary Jack Straw MP.
Topics covered included the recent flooding, the winter Olympics and the education landscape, with both staff and students given the opportunity to submit questions to the panel.
Headteacher Mary Speakman said: “We actively encourage debating at our school and have our own debating society in partnership with Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, so this was a wonderful opportunity for our students to become involved in a topical discussion.”
Altrincham Grammar School for Girls is part of Bright Futures Educational Trust.
