Greater Manchester to become 'local alcohol action area'
GREATER Manchester is to be one of UK Government’s 20 ‘Local Alcohol Action Areas’, it has been announced.
New Economy, Manchester’s agency to create economic growth and prosperity, is calling for responses to inform the development of an alcohol strategy for the conurbation.
The strategy is to focus on reducing alcohol related crime and anti-social behaviour, reducing alcohol related health harms, and promoting growth, including by establishing diverse, vibrant and safe night-time economies.
