YOUNG performers from a theatre arts school wowed audiences with performances of songs from ‘Oliver’.
The 26 students from Stagecoach Altrincham put on a dazzling show, performing to 1,000 people, at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool on February 9.
The talented singers and dancers joined nearly 300 students from 14 other Stagecoach Theatre Arts schools for a display of songs from the hit musical, including ‘Food Glorious Food’ and ‘Consider Yourself’.
Lara Byrne, who performed on the night, said: “Being up on stage at The Grand Theatre was one of the best experiences of my life! I was really proud to be part of the performance and it was a real thrill performing in front of such a large crowd.”
Marion Hankin, Principal of Stagecoach Altrincham, said: “The hard work the students put in to rehearsals really did pay off. They certainly impressed on the night and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
