TRAFFORD Council is inviting local people to get involved in a consultation to help them meet the growing demand for new residential and business premises.

Over the coming years, Trafford has to find sites for around 12,000 new homes as well as room for 190 hectares of employment land.

The consultation will run up to March 17 It will also give the public the opportunity to let the council know about any land which should be identified for new uses.

Helen Jones, corporate director for economic growth and prosperity and Interim corporate director for environment, transport and operations, said: “The Land Allocation Plan will help create new opportunities in Trafford, delivering economic growth and much needed new homes, while at the same time protecting the natural environment.”

The consultation will cover the whole of Trafford except Altrincham town centre. This comes under the Altrincham town centre Business Neighbourhood Plan.
