TWENTY-SIX young performers from Altrincham Stagecoach Theatre Arts are set to take part in a theatrical spectacular at one of the most iconic theatres in the north of England.

On February 9 the budding stars will join nearly 300 students from 14 other Stagecoach theatre arts schools for a performance of classic musical numbers and modern pop medleys at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool.

The Altrincham students hope to dazzle the 1,000 strong audience with their renditions of ‘Food Glorious Food’ and ‘Consider Yourself’ from the hit musical Oliver!

Lara Byrne, who’ll be performing at the event, said: “I can’t wait to perform at The Grand Theatre. Getting up on the stage with all my friends is my favourite thing about going to Stagecoach. We’ve all been working really hard on our routine in class and I hope it pays off on the night.”

Marion Hankin, Principal of Stagecoach Altrincham, saId: “I’m so proud of all my students for the exceptional effort they’ve put into rehearsals. Watching it come together on Sunday will be truly rewarding for us all and I suspect ‘Food Glorious Food’ will be a favourite with the crowd.”

Stagecoach Altrincham is part of a network of more than 600 part-time theatre arts schools worldwide. Early stages classes are available for children aged four to six and main school classes take place for six to 18-year-olds.
