AFTER making his professional stage debut less than two years ago, Hale actor Will Finlason is looking forward to appearing on London’s West End for the very first time.

The 23-year-old is to reprise the role of This Boy in Epstein - The Man Who Made The Beatles at the Leicester Square Theatre for six weeks in July.

It premiered in Liverpool in autumn 2012 to rave reviews and Will be re-united with co-star Andrew Lanxcel in this thoughtful two hander.

Will said: “It’s every actor’s dream to be in the West End - i’m sure it’s a good feeling when you get there. Hopefully it’ll be a good platform to new jobs. It’s a good place to be seen especially in a two man show it’s easier to stand out.”

This week the former Knutsford High School pupil can be seen closer to home in the musical Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Palace Theatre.

Will is playing the role of Ray and he said: “He’s the brother of the lead girl in the show and the best friend of the lead boy.

They’re the love interest in the show. It’s the first musical I’ve ever done. i didn’t train to do musical theatre.”

Will graduated from the Manchester School of Theatre at Manchester Metropolitan University in June 2012.

* Dreamboats and Petticoats is at the Palace Theatre in Manchester until February 8 at 7.30pm. The run also includes matinees and the box office is on 0844 871 3018.
