Upgrade for park and ride site in Flixton
PARK and ride facilities in Flixton will be upgraded later this year.
Subject to rail industry approval, work will start in summer 2014 after a planning application was approved by Trafford Council’s planning committee.
Under the plans, Flixton train station's car park will be upgraded with new fencing, improved pedestrian access arrangements, enhanced lighting and new CCTV systems.
The facilities will also be equipped with new cycle storage facilities, providing capacity for up to 20 cycles.
