Awards success for Trafford Town Hall
TRAFFORD’S revamped town hall has scooped a coveted award.
The Talbot Road building will pick up a Civic Trust award.
It re-opened last May after a £29m redevelopment.
The work on the 1930s Grade II listed building involved the demolition of a 1980s extension which was replaced by a new two-storey extension.
It is one of 79 projects that will be handed a Civic Trust award.
The final level of award recognition will be revealed at the 55th annual Civic Trust awards ceremony, to be held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on March 7.
