CHILDREN from a Sale Moor infant school have been learning pop songs from visiting musicians as part of a project to encourage confidence, kindness and self-belief.

The pupils at Templemoor Infant and Nursery School made a CD with the Pop UK team which will be sold at a concert at the LifeCentre on Washway Road, Sale, on January 27.

Music teacher Anna Jeffries said: "It's been fantastic fun for the children to get to learn and perform some great pop songs with positive messages on how to approach life.

"The energy around school is fizzing and they can't wait to perform the songs at the concert for their families.

"We've seen many of them blossom during this project by the Ofsted-approved Pop UK team.

"It's a confidence-building experience that we hope will stay with them forever."
