PETS at Home Altrincham will be holding a free health workshop providing pet owners with advice on how to keep their pet happy and healthy.

On Saturday January 25 and 26, the store team at Pets at Home Altrincham will be offering customers advice on a range of pet topics including nutrition, flea and worm treatments, free weight checks, as well as microchipping advice.

Owners will also be able to ask any questions they may have about their pet with the store’s trained pet advisors.

On the Saturday, the store will also be holding a puppy party in the Groom Room for fully vaccinated puppies under the age of six months.

Owners will be able to gain free advice from professional dog trainer Mike Beesly who will provide tips on helping their pet to socialise with other young dogs.

The salon team will also be on hand to offer grooming demos and tips for different dog breeds.

Maeve Moorcroft, MVB MRCVS, head of pets at Pets at Home, explained: “Like humans, pets can get run down from time-to-time and may not always feel at their best. So, making sure your pet has a well-balanced diet, portion control and is kept active through routine exercise will keep them happy and healthy in 2014 and beyond.”

Bob Stevenson, store manager, added: “A pet health workshop is a great opportunity for customers to ask any questions they may have.

“The puppy session will also allow owners to gain advice on looking after their young four-legged friend. We look forward to welcoming customers and their pets into store on the day.”
