BIKES worth several thousand pounds were stolen from an independent store in Altrincham.
At around 12.30am on January 5, unknown offenders forced open the shutters of Altrincham Bike Shack before using a concrete slab to smash the window.
Three bicycles, including a Venge worth £3,000 were stolen.
Some other bikes and the shop itself were damaged by the offenders.
Det Con Cherylin Allen, said: “Not only were bikes worth several thousand pounds were stolen, the offenders caused significant and costly damage to the shop.
“As an independent retailer the cost incurred will be felt all the more keenly and I would urge anyone with information about the stolen bikes or people responsible to call us.”
