Police investigating after arson in Ashton on Mersey
POLICE are investigating after arsonists caused damage at what is believed to be an education centre in Ashton on Mersey.
Firefighters were called to the property, on Cherry Lane, at around 6pm on Saturday, January 11.
A quantity of rubbish next to the external part of the building had been deliberately set on fire.
The blaze damaged an approximately 2sqm area of the building’s fascia.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
