ROAD safety charity IAM offers tips from Britain’s top advanced driver, Peter Rodger, following severe weather warnings over the coming days.
The Institute of Advanced Motorists chief examiner has warned how strong winds can unsettle cars and even change your direction of travel.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey in advance, grip their steering wheel firmly and be vigilent of other road users.
Tips have also been made with regard to rain. Such pointers include setting heater controls before beginning your journey, driving slower and making sure your lights are on.
