OXFAM’S Altrincham store is backing the charity’s national Mother Appeal, which aims to help women around the world to lift their families out of poverty for good.
Staff at the George Street store are urging the people of Altrincham to donate their unwanted items, especially as for the first time, the UK Government will double every pound raised throughout January, February and March.
Catherine Poulton, Oxfam Altrincham shop manager, said: “January is the perfect time for a clear out and we can turn your good quality unwanted items into cash to fund Oxfam’s work fighting poverty around the world.
“Additionally, thanks to the Government, the money raised from your generous donations will be doubled, doubling the amazing difference you’re making.”
