JOB seekers will be celebrating at the announcement that an Altrincham company is recruiting for 50 new roles in 2014.

WRS, recruitment specialists for the mining, oil and gas, power and marine industries, are launching a campaign to recruit 25 new staff in early January 2014 and plans to advertise for another 25 jobs by the end of the year.

At the beginning of December WRS was ranked at number eight in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100, which recognises the UK’s 100 private companies with the fastest growing sales over the past three years.

The launch of an iPhone app to post job ads and track candidates was one of the reasons that the company, which celebrated its fifth anniversary in September 2013, was recognised as a leader in its field.

WRS recruits for jobs across the UK and the rest of world, including Europe, Africa and South America and in the next five year,s there are plans to expand to offices overseas and grow the number of employees to 200 people.

Mark Brown, managing director of WRS, said that the energy sector is booming and this means there is a growing demand for recruiting new talent, which is good news for the company.

He said: “This is an exciting time for WRS and our employees. Our continued investment in training and employee development has had a positive effect on staff retention as we retain the technical knowledge and skills required to succeed in a competitive recruitment space.”
