THE Altrincham & Hale Air Cadets are flying high with a new batch recruits who have enrolled in the squad this month.

The 145 Squadron will be recruiting again in January 2014 and is encouraging young people aged 13 to 17 years old to get involved.

There are lots of opportunities for young Air Cadets to take part in activities such as learning to fly aerobatics, visiting RAF stations, playing sport at national level and overseas expeditions.

Flt Lt Jo Ryan, Squadron Officer, is looking forward to welcoming even more young people to the squad in 2014.

She said: “It’s a special moment when a new intake makes their commitment promise and officially joins the Air Cadet family. 145 Squadron continues to go from strength to strength and we look forward to welcoming more young people in the New Year.”

Any young people who are interested in joining the squad should contact Squadron HQ on a Monday or Thursday evening on 0161 283 3085 or email
