A MAN suffered two broken arms after being repeatedly stamped on outside a takeaway in Flixton.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, November 30, the 33-year-old man was in the Peter Pan takeaway, on Church Road, with two friends following a night out.

They became involved in a verbal altercation with another group of approximately four men.

The fracas spilled onto the street and the man was punched to the ground.
While he lay defenceless on the ground, he was repeatedly punched, kicked and stamped on.

The offenders then walked off, leaving the man with two broken arms that required surgery and other injuries to his head and face.

The offenders have been described as white, in their mid 20s and between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall.

One had a ‘stubby nose’, short brown hair and was of medium build while another had slightly long dark curly hair and sharp features.

The shortest of them had short hair, sideburns and dark brown eyes.

Det Con Izzy Dever, said: "This was a gratuitously violent and sustained attack on a man who, already injured, was lying defenceless on the ground.

"The offenders need to be brought to justice and we will, by hook or by crook, find out who they are.

"Their apparent violent nature makes me believe they may proud about the assault they carried out and could well have boasted to people about what they did.

"If you have heard anyone talking about this or know anything about those responsible please contact the police.

"Also, if you don’t know these men but were in the area of Church Road late on Saturday night or early Sunday morning and perhaps saw something that can assist we would also be keen to hear from you."
