TRAFFORD Council has issued advice to residents about how to access council services over the Christmas and New Year period.
Although the main public buildings will be closed from 3pm on December 24 until January 1, 2014, the council has stressed that key services and support will still be maintained throughout the holidays.
The council’s emergency control room will remain open 24 hours a day to answer emergency or crisis calls and ensure these are handled by the appropriate on-call team.
Normal recycling and waste bin collections will continue up until Christmas Eve and revised collection days will be in place from Friday, December 27, through to Saturday, January 11.
A reduced service will also be running at Trafford’s contact centre between December 27 and December.31.
All library services except Altrincham and Urmston libraries will be closed for the duration of the festive period from 3pm on December 24 until January 2, 2014 For more information about accessing Trafford Council services, visit trafford.gov.uk.
