TRAIN company Northern Rail has reminded passengers that services will start to wind down across the network from 7pm on Christmas Eve, with very few trains running after 9pm.

Services will not run at all on Christmas Day or Boxing Day and a normal service will resume on Friday, December 27, except for a few very early morning services.

New Years Eve will again see services winding down from 7pm, and services will start a little later on New Year’s Day. Normal service will resume on Thursday, January 2.

Customers are advised to consult northernrail.org or National Rail Enquiries website at nationalrail.co.uk for specific times and services.
