A WALKING club has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special Christmas hike at the edge of the Peak District.
The long-established Trafford Walkers took a troop of 50 festive walkers to Croker Hill near Macclesfield, decked out in Santa hats, tinsel and reindeer antlers.
The club boasts a number of people from Stretford, Sale and Altrincham as well others from areas across Manchester and even members who travel from North Yorkshire.
Members of all ages and from all walks of life meet every weekend to choose from a range of walks between four and 12 miles.
The mix of different fitness levels means that there’s a walk to suit people of any ability on each trip.
Trafford Walkers also organises walking holidays in Britain and abroad and recent trips have included Scotland, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland and the Dolomites.
Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Mike Graves on 0161 865 5252.
