ALTRINCHAM’s Cresta Court hotel has embarked on 12 months of business and local community celebrations to mark its 40th anniversary year and Sale-based charity Stockdales was the first to benefit as the hotel sponsored a special Christmas party last Thursday.

More than 150 services users with friends, family and carers enjoyed a Christmas meal and disco night at the hotel, in the culmination of a year when the charity has been celebrating its 60th anniversary of providing care and support for adults and children with learning and physical disabilities.

Hotel general manager Paul Hindley said: “The support provided by this local charity is remarkable and much valued by its service users and carers, so we wanted to help everyone have some fun together, let their hair down and celebrate.

“It’s a great example of how the dedication of individuals within our local community can dramatically and positively affect the lives of others, and that is always worth celebrating.”

Emma Morris, CEO of Stockdales added: “Stockdales is absolutely delighted with the support we have received from the Best Western Cresta Court this year.

“The hotel has very kindly sponsored our newsletter and also our service user’s Christmas party. Stockdales is a local charity and we are very much reliant upon the support we receive from the local business community.

“On behalf of everyone at Stockdales, I’d like to say a huge thanks to Paul Hindley and his team for helping us in this way. We really appreciate it.”

The Cresta Court is marking its 40th year with a series of events that celebrate the completion of its refurbishment, contributions to improving the community made by iconic local business, social and community leaders, and the highlighting the role played by the town’s everyday unsung heroes.
