Christmas concerts with a difference from Trafford Music Service
YOUNG people from all over Trafford took part in three spectacular concerts at MediaCityUk.
There were 19 performances from the young musicians of Stretford Music Centre, Urmston Music Centre and Trafford Youth Orchestras.
Replacing the traditional programme of Christmas music a variety of pieces were showcased including classical: Rococo Theme by Tchaikovsky; traditional: Londonderry Air and even a spot of dance music with Gangnam Style being performed by Urmston and Stretford Wind Band.
The young musicians performed on December 8 in the studio where the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra rehearse and record and this opportunity was only possible because of funding from Trafford Housing Trust Urmston Community Panel.
