ACT I, Altrincham Creative Theatre School’s junior section, recently welcomed Alex Pletscher to one of their Saturday morning meetings.
Alex, who runs Circusology, gave the students a circus skills workshop which was hugely enjoyed by tutors and students.
The participants learned everything from juggling routines and stilt walking to plate spinning.
Artistic director John Banks said “Actors can never learn too many skills. The performing arts encompasses a huge field and one only has to look at productions like Barnum, Starlight Express and more recently War Horse to see that actors are expected to be able to add more than just singing and dancing to their acting skills.”
