TWO men were attacked and robbed as they walked home from a night out in Stretford.

The attack took place at around 12.20am on Saturday November 2, as the two victims were walking home along Radstock Road.

They were approached by a man who asked them a question to get their attention.

When one of them answered, their attacker punched one of the men in the face, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head.

The offender then hit the other man in the temple and while the other victim was on the floor, the assailant kicked him, snatched his necklace and ran off.

The offender is described as a black man, in his 20s, about 5ft 11in tall, medium build, short crew cut hair with a round face.

He was wearing a black top and jeans with a zip up black jacket and he spoke with a deep Mancunian accent.

Detective Constable Izzy Dever, from Trafford division, said: “These two men were walking home from a night out minding their own business when they were attacked and robbed.

“They have been left very shaken by the incident and we are urging anyone who may have witnessed the attack or has any information which may help with our enquiries to come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw a man matching the description carrying a white plastic bag walking along Derbyshire Lane or Park Road around the time of the attack.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7671 or Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
